I am most comfortable with red lipstick and if i wasnt married i wouldve tied the knot with my NYX monte carlo. It is my favorite lippie because it best accentuates my full lips. I feel powerful, confident and sexy whenever i go for red!
Matte is my comfort zone and i am not really a fan of glossy or satin finish when it comes to my lips.
This avon lava love is definitely a big step for me,. I am now ready to wear lippies other than matte.
I have thick / full lips, although i wear red than other colors most of the time, i also feel uneasy whenever i wear em because i feel like my full lips are being the center of attention most of the time.
This lava love made me realize that i can step out of my comfort zone and be more experimental with my lippies.
Start of my work week and the only thing that keeps me going is by doing my makeup. I look forward to my makeup sessions every morning.
For this look i used:
1. Essence clear and matte (oil free) liquid makeup
2. E.l.f. Eyebrow kit
3. Pinkie swear cream foundation in ccf 03 used as concealer
4. E.l.f. Eyelid primer
5.NYC limited edition individual eyes in summer crush
6. Shawill in perfectly peach
7. NYX lip pencil in 810 natural
8. Ever bilena matte lipstick in mauvey
9. Clinique lash doubling mascara
10. Avon ideal oil contorl pressed powder in natural
11. Essence bronzing powder in live to be matt
This is the very first time i used colorful eye shadows cos i really dont know if it will suit me. I am very happy with the outcome and this makes me wanna purchase more colorful eye makeups.
I’ve been contemplating on what eyeshadow pallete to buy, a lot of online sellers offer various palletes but i think they get from the same supplier, they just put their brand on it.
What brand do you suggest? Price is a factor to consider.. 🙂
Since I am still yet to attend makeup school I’ve been practicing makeup application seriously. I have been working on my eye shadow blending, to be honest I never really cared about blending before I just piled up eye makeup and I wonder why am I not getting it right?
so that’s one of the reasons. I watched videos and read a couple of articles, viewed photos for inspiration.
It’s also a good thing that i got this beauty cosmetics blending brush from the Ana V.’s meet and greet (read my entry here).
and here are the results of my practice.practice.practice.
I know it’s still amateur looking I’m not trying to be a pro here, but hey! give me a break! I just started! 🙂
and i don’t know how to get a good picture out of it!
Just to share with you my favorite international beauty/makeup guru gossmakeupartist he filmed a tutorial about eye shadow blending, i hope this can help you and view his other videos they’re helpful to us beginners.
How do you put on your eye shadow or your eye makeup? any techniques? comment below and share it with me!
My weekends (last week) were oh so special because of two things: One of which is because of my favorite MUA Ana V. 🙂 She had her Birthday meet and greet last Saturday, Feb 23 and since the family was scheduled to go to the mall for my baby’s pictorial (which is the other special event that day) I decided to attend as well and make new friends cos I know for a fact that those who will be going do not know me.
The M&G was fun not only because of new found friends and time well spent, bonding, games, exchanging stories and gossiping on the side. I also personally met other beauty bloggers and makeup gurus:
I have come to visit their blogs every once in a while despite of my busy work schedule and I finally met pink fairy in the flesh, Karen Alcantara we’ve been fb friends for quite some time and this is the first time we actually ever had an encounter and I also look up to her because she’s an amazing girl.
At times I think I’m too old for these stuff maybe because I dwell too much on the fact that I have bigger responsibilities because I already have a son, but those who really care never stop reminding me that I can also do what they can!
Ana reminds me of exactly what I wanted my life to be if I haven’t built a family at an early age. That’s why she inspires me to practice my makeup skills and eventually if time and budget will allow, I’m gonna take it to the next level and go study pro.
Right now, I’ll just practice and practice and practice and just build my makeup kit.
Here are some photos from the M&G

To be honest, I don’t have any favorites. I use different brands, I don’t allocate too much money on makeup that’s why mostly I have the affordable ones like: e.l.f., ever bilena, Avon, pinkie swear, NYX, shawill, and makeups from daiso/saizen to name a few.
The more expensive, the better the quality.
The statement isn’t always true. There are some expensive makeup brands that doesn’t deliver good results on you and there are also affordable ones that has at par quality as of the expensive ones and works on you. Results are very subjective and dependent to the user, we also need to consider a number of factors that may affect the results of different makeup. Some brands are expensive because of the BRAND itself, the name that they established in the industry reflects the status of the brand and all product lines should be placed and priced as to how they stand in the industry. There are also the affordable brands that positions themselves as affordable ones but gives good quality results.
If you are enthusiastic to find affordable cosmetics that gives quality results there are a lot of websites or blog that features them, you can research online. Here are some links for you:
